Operation Recovery is a non-profit organization committed to assisting veterans in overcoming the physical and emotional challenges they face after service. Through comprehensive rehabilitation programs, peer support groups, and connections to vital resources, we empower veterans to regain control of their lives and thrive in their communities.
Mission & Impact
Operation Recovery’s mission is to create a community that supports our service members, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need through resiliency, health, and wellness programs. We believe that all people have the potential to thrive, and we are dedicated to helping them get there.
Our vision is to build a community that supports veterans, first responders, and our allies — providing them with the means to create sustainment in their lives and partnering with them to enable their future successes.
Check out our Surf Fire program to learn more about our programs and their impact on veteran wellness.
The Venue
Tampa Bay Sporting Clays is more than just a shooting range. We’re located on 260 acres of wooded terrain and provide a unique facility for the Tampa Bay area perfect for an afternoon away or for a corporate event.
Their skeet range has eight shooting stations and two trap houses. Seven of the eight stations are arranged half-moon between the two trap houses, and the eighth station is positioned directly between them. The high house on the left side of the field throws its targets from a trap 10 feet above the ground.
The target travels to the center of the field and rises to a height of 15 feet. On the right side, the low house throws its targets from only 3½ feet, but they also rise to 15 feet by the time they reach the center of the field. Each skeet round contains 25 targets.
